Miguel Ángel graduated and obtained his Master's degree on Chemistry at the University of Sevilla, Spain. Later, he received his PhD at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Spain, under the supervision of Prof. Agustín Lara. In 2023, he joined Prof. Jesús Campos' group with a Margarita Salas Fellowship, working on the development of Frustrated Lewis Pairs and mechanistic studies of small molecule activation. He is currently working on "CO2FLAMEL", his DSTrain MSCA COFUND project, entitled "Deciphering CO2 activation with Frustrated Lewis Pairs containing transition metals from a Machine Learning Approach".
